The Father: Troy Horne is a dedicated father who took on the world of youth sports with a mission: to help his son thrive under pressure and chase his dream of playing basketball professionally. This is the dream that inspired the brand Mental Touhness for Young Athletes.

With no background in the sports training, Troy relied on his deep understanding of performance gained from a successful career as a professional musician, Broadway performer, and television actor to building confidence in youth sports. He believed that the principles of success—discipline, skill mastery, relationship-building, and strategic positioning—transcended industries.

Driven by this insight, Troy set out to discover what it truly takes to support a young athlete’s journey to the highest level. Through hands-on experience, dedicated research, and insightful conversations with leading experts in sports psychology for young athletes, Troy and Moses developed effective mental toughness training and mindset coaching strategies. Together, they uncovered the “code” to building real mental resilience and confidence in youth athletes.

Their journey resulted in a proven framework that now empowers young athletes and their parents everywhere.
